My Thoughts on David Cone...By Bruin12 It's funny how when a player is on the team you hate the most..You automatically hate him, he is the enemy! then with a switch of a year or a trade gone crazy.. That player is now your most loved guy, he can walk on water, he is going to be just great!! I use to think this of David Cone, sure I didnt hate him.. like I hate Roger Clemens as a yankee..grrr dont get me started on that slob. But I did think Cone was a great Pitcher, but he was a Yankee.. My rival, so I hated him. Well that was then..This is now.. season 2001 and David Cone is all ours! He is a Red Sox! and Damn he is making a comeback!! and I am damn proud to be a Cone head! I say..So what Cone hasnt won yet, he just came back..he looks great, he says his arm feels great. I thought his first outing showed promise, he did look uncomfortable in my opinion..but it was like..pheww..thats over with. His second outting against his old team. In my opinion..he was just fine! He had movement and good velocity Cone said :" I was mixing it up. Not only was my stuff sharper, but I seemed to have an idea what to do with it . Well from this new Conehead.. I think Mr. Cone is going to do just fine! I would take David Cones personality, leadership, and team player over Fatman-slob-trader-"I will throw a tantrum" Clemens anyday!! :) Now where is my Conehead :) |
